According to IMNA News Agency, Ehsan Motavalian, stating that during the previous urban management period, a huge debt burden was placed on the shoulders of the current managers, which was decided to be paid with the help of the government, stated: The urban management budget does not meet the urban needs, so it was decided to use other capacities.
Stating that the lack of knowledge about the capital market and municipalities had caused them to not cooperate sufficiently with each other in the past years, he stated: This coordination was made by the managers at the time, and it was decided to hold a conference with the design of training courses while considering the goal of familiarizing municipal experts with the capital market.
The Secretary General of the Assembly of Mayors of Iranian Metropolitan Cities, stating that banking institutions, senior municipal managers, and government managers will participate in this conference, added: In the meantime, a memorandum of understanding will be concluded between the metropolitan cities, in which important issues including the field of transportation and the field of urban management will be seen.
Noting that this event was designed and implemented for the first time, the trustees noted: The name "City Financing Movement" was chosen with the aim of attracting all capacities without restrictions.
Stating that we are not trying to harm the people through this plan, he emphasized: It is correct to say that municipalities are currently living on people's money; therefore, we are not trying to use people's pockets for the benefit of municipalities in this plan, but if someone intends to participate in this plan, they will invest the capital of the car in the municipality's executive project and the person will earn the profit from the project.
Stating that in the past there was no law on cooperation between the private sector (individuals) and the municipality, the Secretary General of the Assembly of Mayors of Metropolitan Cities of Iran continued: Previously, municipalities cooperated with contractors, but through this plan, municipalities have become more open to cooperating with capital owners.
The trustees added: We accept that municipalities do not know the language of cooperation, we are holding these training courses to teach them this process.
He added: The Shahr Bank is responsible for paying the initial costs of implementing this plan, in fact, the City Bank is introduced as the guarantor of the implementation of this plan.
Engineer Motvalian: The capital market comes to the aid of metropolitan municipalities.
Dr. Namaki: Movement means a new beginning / People's small capital can be used to develop the city
Dr. Ranjbar: Municipalities depend on the people/Shahr Bank is the common language between municipalities and the capital market
